Software Engineer

Renesys software engineers are responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining interactive Internet applications. You will work with a small team to enhance our existing products and develop completely new ones, providing real-time intuitive access to a vast data repository that is focused on the structure and status of the global Internet. This position is based in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Requirements:
  • A degree holder in computer science, applied math or a related field
  • Very familiar with Linux and open source
  • Skilled in at least one of Perl, Java or Python
  • Smart, goal-oriented team player focused on producing high quality code in a timely manner
Pluses:
  • At least 3 years of software development experience
  • Skills in all of Perl, Java, Python and C++
  • Familiarity working with extremely large, complex datasets
  • A good understanding of performance issues in a distributed Linux computing environment
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts
Web Application Developer

The Web Application Developer is responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining interactive Internet applications. You will work with a small team to enhance our existing products and develop completely new ones, providing real-time intuitive access to a vast data repository that is focused on the structure and status of the global Internet. This position is based in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Requirements:
  • A degree holder in computer science, applied math or a related field
  • 3+ years experience with interactive component design and development: Javascript/DHTML, DOM, AJAX, Java, Flash/Actionscript, or related cross-platform technology
  • SQL experience
  • Smart, goal-oriented team player focused on producing high quality code in a timely manner
Pluses:
  • Experience with open source environments: Linux, Apache, Tomcat
  • Perl and/or Python experience
  • Strong communications skills and graphic design sense
  • Experience with GIS and/or data mining applications
  • Related contributions to open source projects
Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. This position is based in Hanover, New Hampshire.

The Product Manager is expected to:
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Develop sales tools and collateral
  • Brief and train the sales force at sales meetings
  • Act as a leader within the company
Required experience and knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • 3+ years of experience in a job in the IP Routing market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
  • Technical background, with experience in routing technologies
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time
